Position: Starter
Department: Golf
Primary Responsibilities: • Provides highest quality of guest service Secondary Responsibilities:
• Meeting and greeting guests
• Controlling the flow of play
• Keep practice area neat and organized
• Read and analyze starters sheets and tournament pairings
Normal Working Hours: • Daily, 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Daily, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Shifts and days off may vary
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
Educational Requirements: • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
Communication Skills Requirements: • Outgoing personality
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
Technical Requirements: • Valid drivers license
• Knowledge of golf cart safety
• Anticipation and problem solving skills
• Proof reading skills
• Effective and accurate record keeping
• Understanding of golf course rules and regulations
• Ability to handle special guest requests
• Constant pressure and deadlines
• Must be able to handle multiple situations at one time
Required Supervision: • Reports to Bag Room Supervisor
The selected candidate must be able to uphold the Greenbrier's Vision as well as demonstrate the 12 Greenbrier values of safety, honesty, excellence, respect, empowerment, pride, teamwork, loyalty, commitment, cleanliness, responsibility and fairness.
